Jo Owen takes on CIO role at law firm Cripps

Jo Owen CIO CrippsJo Owen has become the CIO for growing law firm Cripps.  Owen has been with the Kent based legal business since October 2017 as Operations Director.  

This is Owen’s second career with Cripps, she left the business in October 2014 to join Clyde & Co LLP as Head of IT Service Delivery, a role she held for over two years.  Prior to joining Clyde & Co Owen had been Deputy Head of IT and Head of Operations at Cripps for a year, having joined the business from Vertex Law, where she had been CIO. Owen has specialised in legal IT, beginning her career as an IT Systems Engineer with Davies Lavery Solicitors.

“With over twenty years experience in the legal sector, I have a deep understanding of how law firms operate, enabling me to focus on ensuring efficiency and effectiveness,” Owen said.

“I am passionate about engaging with the business to understand the operation of our legal and support teams, ensuring the right processes and systems are in place to deliver the best possible service to our clients.”

Cripps is a law firm of 300 staff in three locations, two in Kent and one in London. The business provides personal and commercial legal services in areas such as tax, employment and property.  Its commercial business specialises in sectors such as the media, not for profit, education, family businesses; healthcare, real estate, agriculture energy and shopping centres.
