CIO roundtable – Information strategies to deliver business value
November 20 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pmFree
Information and technology is the key to CIOs and their teams rising up the business value chain.
The current wave of technologies, combined with a radical change in customer behaviour has given CIOs and CTOs an opportunity to be board level business leaders that enable the organisation to radically change the way it operates and to be able to operate at a pace that meets the needs of a new era of customer.
A leading CIO search executive recently described the CIO role as being “in the moment…value-creation in a positive way is at the top of the agenda. It is great to see the role come out of the back office and drive the agenda. Long may it continue.”
But to achieve the “moment” CIOs will need to embrace new methods in order to enable business change.
Organisations require technology and leaders that enable an analytical approach to decision making so that the customer is at the centre of the organisation. Cookie cutter business models are a thing of the past and the CIO has to have the technology to hand to ensure the organisation is able to deliver a personal offering. As a result the collection, management, understanding and distribution of information will be crucial. The CIO and their team will be working with an eco-system of technologies and partners to ensure the organisation has access to the tools and functions it needs to deliver outcomes.
